1870 Revenue Stamps on Mortgage Contract for Chicago Property in Norwood Park in Chicago, Illinois For Sale

Document represents an xxxx mortgage contract (called an indenture) for Chicago property located in Norwood Park on Block 13, Lots 37 and 38. No address is listed because real estate parcels identify as Block and Lot numbers. Document bears two (one orange-red and one blue) beautiful over-sized Revenue Stamps using the superb inks of that era and containing the image of our hero (George Washington) . Bottom left corner bears a large orange-red embossed notary seal, so there are three splashes of color altogether on this old contract, which measures 17 X 11 inches.
Before the introduction of the xxxx federal income tax, the U.S. government raised revenues by adding (small) fees to certain transactions. For example, this mortgage contract recorded a $xxxx mortgage, and the government collected a $1.50 fee (say one-tenth of 1%) by requiring these beautiful Revenue Stamps to be affixed to the document to make it legitimate.
Document is in Excellent condition. I imagine that if you had the document laminated in clear plastic and left it on your coffee table, all of your guests would examine and admire it.
