1932 Memorandum - Polish National Alliance letterhead in Chicago, Illinois For Sale

Authentic xxxx memorandum on the letterhead of the Polish National Alliance of the United States of North America located at xxxx-xxxx W. Division Street in Chicago. Old-timers still refer to the corner of Division St. & Ashland Ave. as "Polish Downtown". (The current location since the headquarters was relocated in the xxxxs is in the Forest Glen area of Chicago and is visible from the Edens Expressway).
Document is hand-signed by the PNA Treasurer and features the PNA emblem at top-center. The upper-left portion of the emblem contains a large bird with spread wings upraised against a red background. The upper-right portion contains a soldier with sword drawn and riding a bucking steed against a blue background. The bottom portion of the emblem depicts a holy man with large cherub wings and holding a large shield bearing a Christian cross against a white background. Two hands grasped in a handshake appear atop the emblem and some foliage adorns the outside of the emblem. PNA Officers (including Directors) appear in boxes listed in upper left and upper right corners of the document.
Since the end of the 19th century the PNA has been the largest Polish fraternal organization in the USA with assets of 0.5 billion dollars as a result of insurance activity (the only requirement of membership is to buy an insurance policy - life, health etc), and income generated from banks and media they own, such as Dziennik Zwi?zkowy (Polish Daily News), and WPNA AM in Oak Park, Illinois.
Document is in Very Good condition, but contains a very small rip in upper right corner and five alpha-numeric characters penciled on the document. Neither of these issues detracts from the character of the document. Measures 8 1/2 X 11 inches and is suitable for framing.
