Essential functions of a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting Child Support practice:
A Senior Consultant at Deloitte works within an engagement team and is responsible for identifying business requirements, requirements management, functional design, prototyping, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), testing, training, defining support procedures and supporting implementations.
Senior Consultants in the Child Support Public Sector practice are required to have:
·3 year of experience in the design, development or implementation phases (business or technical) of a modernization for a child support business area including but not limited to the following:
oChild support functionality &#xxxx;Experience in the functional working of child support modules, namely, Case Initiation, Locate, Establishment, Enforcement, Financials, Case Management, Interstate case processing, Reporting
oInterfaces &#xxxx; Inter agency interfaces such as interfaces with Driver&#xxxx;s and professional licensing authorities, Unemployment agency, Medicaid andTANF (IVA),Foster Care (IVE), State Treasury(State tax offset), Federal (FPLS), IRS (Federal Tax offset)etc.,
·3 year of experience participating in thedesign, development or implementation and maintenance phases of existing child support applications using system transfer, custom development or hybrid approaches
·4 years of relevant consulting or industry experience
·At least 2 years of experience leading teams
·A minimum of 1 full system development life cycle implementations
·At least 2 years of experience with solution development and application architecture with.Net. or Java
Minimum of 2 years ofexperience performing conceptual and technical designs, including the use of object oriented analysis and design techniques and experience in any one of the following areas:
SOA, BPM
ECM, correspondence generation
Batch interfaces and reports
User interfaces
At least 2 years of business process analysis, mapping, and design.
At least 2 years of experience in requirements analysis and performing current state system analysis
·At least 2 years of performing conceptual and technical designs, including the use of object-oriented analysis and design techniques
·2+ years of experience with Requirements Management and Traceability Tools such as Microsoft Team Foundation Server, HP Quality Center and IBM RequisitePro and IBM Rational Requirements Composer
·2+ years of experience with Prototyping tools such as iRise and Business Process Modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect
·2 + years of experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) for business modeling (work flows) and object modeling
·A willingness to travel 80 - 100% of the time
In addition, successful Senior Consultants will have the following preferred background:
Demonstrating familiarity with child support policies and mandates
·Experience with MVC patterns
·Experience with common OO design patterns
Testing, including all phases: System, Integration, and Performance Testing and ensuring traceability
Exposure to TOGAF, NEIM (or other architecture framework)
Experience with Middleware and/or SOA based implementations.
·Experience with methodologies including, but not limited to, Agile, RUP, or Waterfall
·Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
·Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
·Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
·Eagerness to mentor junior staff
·A Bachelor's Degree
·An advanced degree in the area of specialization
