I used Marathon Movers during my Labor Day weekend move and could not have been more impressed. Dan was very helpful and professional while setting up my move and was more than happy to answer any questions I had. Marlon and Nelson were awesome. Professional, efficient and friendly! Nick, Nathan and Dillon were AWESOME MOVERS. They were prompt, had my 2 bedroom packed and on the truck in about an hour and had me unloaded in about the same amount of time. This was by far the fastest and most stress free move I have ever had! I would highly recommend them and I have! They arrived on time and worked very hard the entire time. Their price was exactly as they quoted per hour, which was a good deal, without any extra costs for materials used to wrap tvs/pictures/etc. It was in the 90s when they arrived and just as we got to our new house it started pouring. They didnt pause or rest at any point and were running from the truck to our house when it was raining. I would recommend these guys to anyone and in fact I already have to multiple people. I would highly recommend Dan and his fine crew at Marathon Movers. I live in Connecticut and had the good fortune of finding Marathon Movers to help my daughter move in Chicago. Dan was kind, helpful and professional throughout the process. My daughter said that the guys were great and moved her belongings in a very efficient manner. They are very reasonably priced, which everyone can appreciate. Several of our family members and friends had used them in the past year, and all had the same great experience - we thought we'd give them a shot. Marathon called before they came, and even called far ahead to see if it was ok if they came earlier than anticipated. It was close to 100 degrees on the day of our move and that did not stop them from giving it 110%. 3 hours into our move it was pouring rain, and that did not slow them down either. We were incredibly impressed. Marathon handled all of our belongings with care, and nothing was damanged. They were quick, polite, and efficient - not to mention reasonably priced! Price was important (now that we're taking on a mortgage) and they fell far below the competition out there. I had to move ON LABOR DAY (potential nightmare), but when I called Daniel said they could fit me in, quoted me an absolutely amazing price (even for their holiday rate) and set everything up in less than 10 minutes. On the day of the move, Nick and Nate showed up exactly when they said they would and rocked everything in a little less than 2 hours. Granted, I only have a studio/1-bedroom's worth of stuff, and I moved less than a mile away... but they weren't messing around. Nothing was damaged, and the price was exactly what they told me it'd be (HALF of what other companies were quoting me). If you're looking to move in Chicago, do yourself a favor and use these guys. I know I will from now on. _____________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________ In moving six times over the last few years, I've never used movers, and I've got to say that after hiring these guys I'll never do it on my own again. Daniel was very friendly and informative during my booking, and on the morning of my move Marlin and Nelson were on time to the minute. They moved me out of a second-floor apartment (stairs only) and into a fourth-floor (no freight elevator) inside of two hours, and came in exactly on their estimate. Speaking of estimates, I was shocked by how low mine was- and they stuck to it. Last year, moving my own stuff in a U-Haul took 7-8 hours and cost me only slightly less- not to mention the hassle of picking up, parking and returning a truck. This year, I was almost totally unpacked in my new place by the end of the day. Great work guys- made my move 100x easier. I would recommend Marathon to anyone.
