Job Description
Responsibilities include:
1. Insures products in the Value Stream are manufactured with the highest level of quality in a safe and timely manner that will meet or exceed customer expectations.
2. Responsible for all products, Value Stream functions and employees including Customer Care Rep. Quality Tech. VS leads and production team member positions.
3. Directly responsible for overall performance of the value Stream, including SAFETY, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity.
4. Provides leadership and guidance that ensures product scheduling, planning, materials, sourcing, logistics functions are effective in enabling the Value Steam to achieve customer focused and financial goals.
5. Drives the implementation of Lean Enterprise and is lean Manufacturing resource responsible for eliminating waste and improving flow throughout the Value Stream.
6. Profit and Loss responsibility for the Value Stream
7. Managerial duties for all direct and indirect reports within the Value Stream including, coaching, hiring, disciplinary actions, prioritizing, training and employee development
8. Assist in the yearly development and realization of plant objectives.
Additional Responsibilities:
Able to communicate with customers
Able to understand the scientific method to research and resolved problems
Able to read drawings, write control plans 7 work instructions
Able to generate quotes using company quoting system
Requirements:
B.S in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical)
Supervision experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in Lean Manufacturing
Able to travel up to times per year
Experience in Aluminum Die Casting and Spanish speaking will be a plus
