Aquatics Coordinator in Chicago, Illinois For Sale

Advocate Good Samaritan Health & Wellness Center has an opening for an aquatics coordinator located in Downers Grove, IL. This position will work 32hr./wk during evening hours (end time around 7:30-8 pm) and weekends. This position is benefit eligible.
Requirements:
-Bachelor?s Degree in Fitness Management, Exercise Science or related degree.
? AEA, IFA, YMCA, SwimAmerica Program Director or Site Supervisor, ARC Water Safety Instructor, certifications or equivalent professional certification (minimum of one)
-CPR/AED Certification
-Minimum of two years experience teaching a variety of styles, levels and populations.- Experience in program development and budget management- Good understanding of the role of fitness programming and exercise science in a fitness environment
-Two years experience in a supervisory role (preferred).- Experience in aquatic clinical exercise, aquatic exercise, swim technique instruction and specialty fitness techniques is preferred- Basic computer software knowledge- Strong customer service background
? Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic exercise prescription-
Accountabilities:
? To plan, supervise and promote the Aquatics programing (approximately 44+ classes per week, 19+ swim lessons per week), staff (30+), and the management of the aquatic facilities at the Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center.
? To provide exemplary service to all customers and clientele while promoting professional growth and job satisfaction to uphold industry standards and strive for continuous quality improvement in all areas of accountability and job activities.
? In accordance with customer need and Advocate philosophy, responsible for developing, coordinating, and planning class format on a seasonal basis, activities, and department operations in group aquatic classes, aquatic clinical classes, SwimAmerica , and swim Lessons.
? Oversees the development and implementation of aquatics programming, aquatics private swim lessons and registration to ensure quality services to members and guests, increase synergy with related hospital services, and sustain growth in area of responsibilities.
? Provides program leadership, supervision, education, performance feedback and communication for all aquatic based group exercise instructors, private swim instructors, swim lesson instructors and life guards within the Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center.
? Develops, recommends and implements policies, procedures and safety standards to ensure excellent delivery of customer satisfaction.
? Maintains high level of satisfaction with customers, hospital associates, and physicians within Advocate.
? Evaluate and continually improve safety of aquatics program areas to ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, safety and emergency standards.
