SUMMARY
Responsible for procurement of products with the goal of moving towards standard vendors and products within the system and obtaining economically beneficially agreements for all ministries
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Work with System Manager, Clinical Value Analysis to determine opportunities for standardization and conversion. Including impact on current contract commitments, analyzes data to determine potential opportunities, and other information as available.
:
Originate negotiations, extensions, or terminations of contracts/pricing agreements with suppliers and manufacturers for equipment and supplies to be purchased by Presence Health. Include those terms and conditions agreed upon between supplier and System Manager, Clinical Value Analysis.
:
Consult with Legal on contractual issues concerning proper legal terms and conditions.
:
Perform, and review with contract analysts (if appropriate), the final cost:benefit analysis for individual project initiatives to facilitate a supplier recommendation contract award by the Value Analysis Advisory Council (VAAC).
:
Assist in product implementation by providing ministries with an understanding of the contractual agreement requirements, review of product/cost benefit analysis and a final cross reference.

Group purchasing knowledge and materials management information system experience is strongly preferred.

Requires significant local travel
Education and/or Experience
:
Bachelor degree in Business or related field required OR 10+ years in a Strategic Contracting Mgmt Role
:
Masters degree in Business or equivalent field preferred.
:
Five years of experience in contract administration.
:
Experience in healthcare purchasing/contracting preferred.
Computer Skills
:
Strong computer knowledge and PC skills.
:
Excellent Excel skills required with the ability to complete specific cost:benefit analyses,
:
Experience with Access is preferred, but not necessary.
:
Knowledge of Premier Web site and tools is preferred.
:
Knowledge of Materials Management information systems as it relates to the management of contracts (products, pricing, rebates, etc.)
