Financial Planning Analyst
The Advisors Group of Chicago, LLC is seeking to fill a career track position that combines the challenges of handling complex financial issues with the rewarding role of trusted advisor to our loyal clients.
We are a small, independent wealth management firm located in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. We work with successful individual clients and assist them with all of their financial planning needs including asset management.
One of our partners is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to assist with all aspects of his practice. The Analyst must be exceptionally well organized and highly detail oriented.
Responsibilities will include:
- Client meeting preparation: Preparing reports and exhibits for client meetings and then handling follow-up activities including making securities trades.
- Investment analysis: Conducting quarterly review of asset allocation policy and of mutual funds.
- Preparation of quarterly performance reporting packages.
- Financial planning: Inputting data to our financial planning software and discussing recommendations with the partner.
- Preparation of investment proposals for new clients.
- Preparation of life and disability insurance proposals.
In addition to the above, the Analyst will have responsibility for being the ?expediter?. He/she will coordinate all outstanding client follow-up activities including those being handled by others.
This career track position offers the opportunity to move from this role to one with significant client contact and ultimately to the role of financial advisor.
Candidates for this position should have one to five years of experience in the planning or investment field. Exceptional entry level candidates may be considered. Exceptional candidates who are changing careers or re-entering the work force may also be considered.
The candidate should be highly proficient with MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel. Experience with Morningstar Principia and Thomson Investment View is desirable.
A Bachelor?s Degree in finance, economics or accounting is required. A CFP or CFA designation is desirable but not required. Also desirable are Series 7 and 66 FINRA licenses.
