MASTERs Plus Tutoring Progra is seeking an experienced Science teacher/tutor for our Homewood, IL location. This postion is responsible for tutoring clients in Physics and/or Chemistry. All tutoring is held at our secure facility, no need to travel to the homes of your clients. Our facility has 24 hour video surveillance. You can work up to 4 clients per night on weekdays and up to 6 on weekends. We provide all of the curriuculum and materials, so you can focus on teaching. Immediate openings are avaialble; selected candidates must pass profiiciency exam.
This position requires evenings and at least one weekend day. Candidates must be able to work at least 10 hours per week within our 7 day work week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
:Tutor clients in Physics and/or Chemistry.
:Conducts client academic assessments.
:Uses creative methods in teaching approach to provide differentiated instruction.
:Complete written and online daily student progress reports.
:May be assigned additional responsibiities.
REQUIREMENTS:
:Must be willing to take our proficiency tests prior to an interview.
:Must be willing to travel to our locaion in Homewood, IL.
:Possess a Bachelors Degree in a science related field. (ie. Engineering)
:Tutoring experience preferred, but not required.
:Must be available to work 2: 3 days per week within our 7 day work week.
:Must have availaility to work between 4 and 8 pm during the weekday, 9 to 3 pm on Saturdays or 11 to 5 pm.
:Ability to organize, analyze and present knowledge or materials releated to courses taught.
:Strong motivational and communication skills and adaptability to shifting priorities so that a positive working and learning environment are assured.
:Dependable, passionate, energetic with strong desire to work with Jr. High and High School students.
:Abiltiy to work with at least 3 students or more for a full school year.
:Abilityto work with a diverse group of students.
