They are great for snagging salmon, carp, gar, asian carp, gators, that pole you accidentally dropped off the pier, ocean fish, or anything else you can think of. Remember to always make sure you check all state & local laws in your area before snagging anything. Most 1 to 1.5 ounce snag hooks run around $3.00 & up at large sporting goods stores & most large sporting goods store do not sell the below the hook weighted style snag hooks. I know because I have been to all of them in the Chicago area.
