Three official Rawlings baseball bases, each measuring 13 3/4 X 13 3/4 inches. Every young kid loves playing sandlot baseball with real bases.
One of the bases has burst open at one end all the way from one side to the other in a clean, straight manner. Three options to fix: 1) Use an industrial strength needle and thread to sew shut, 2) Use (clear) wide packaging tape to tape it shut, or 3) Do nothing and simply use the flawed base as third base, since third base is the least-used base on the playing field.
Bases include three cloth straps that thread into the underside of the base and tie together so that you can attach a metal stake inside the loop of the cloth strap. I only have three metal stakes (one per base). I am supposed to have six metal stakes (two per base) so that the bases can be anchored firmly into the ground without much movement when you step on them. The missing three metal stakes mean that the bases will be anchored, but they will move a little bit as players step on them because there is only one anchor per base instead of two.
