Lead the conceptualization, assessment, validation, build, execution, and results realization of an array of both targeted departmental and cross functional strategic initiatives intended to drive profitable subscriber and revenue growth and deliver upon annual and long term marketing objectives. As a key, largely autonomous and visible leader on a team responsible for understanding and synthesizing customer needs related to service / rate plan pricing, discounts, fees, and contracts for all products across all channels and regions where US Cellular does business, the Pricing Manager II plays a critical role in crafting and communicating strategies, as well as collaborating cross functionally to ensure broad based alignment and support of initiatives and changes. This position is a key integrator of marketing, financial and operational objectives, and will require regular interactions with Senior Leaders, providing counsel on pricing and promotions strategies and developing tactics necessary to drive business results.
Actively collaborates with partners in Strategic Insights, Strategic Guidance, Brand, and key product / channel owners to develop and manage short and long term pricing strategies from inception to launch, including active pricing, discounts, and contracts portfolio management holistic across voice, messaging, data, product vertical features, device, postpaid and prepaid, and all channels.
Demonstrates strong, active, and visible leadership and significant influence skills to gain credibility with and drive decision:making from senior leadership and stakeholders across the enterprise.
Instrumental in providing strong and clear pricing leadership through the launch and implementation of large and medium scale pricing initiatives.
Facilitates the analysis and effects of pricing analysis and profitability at the enterprise level.
Ensures all pricing value propositions, tactics, and messaging are consistent and integrated with overall marketing and channel strategies; develop pricing analysis and sensitivity models to derive the implications on acquisition strategy, marketing activities and operational processes.
Forms hypotheses and synthesizes fact:based conclusions into recommendations including preparing and delivering comprehensive business cases to executive management.
Streamlines processes where possible such as creating standard reporting tools and processes.
Partners with marketing, sales, and operational teams to define the long:term roadmap and integrate long term pricing strategy elements / functionality to be supported by company systems and processes.
In addition to the longer:term, strategic aspect of the role, this position will have operational and implementation responsibilities which includes an array of activities from resolving system or billing issues, supporting pricing enhancements, supporting local/grass roots events, driving key analytical efforts, enhancing the integration with other marketing/operational teams, and improving the reporting and measurement of pricing program effectiveness.
While results focused, the Pricing Manager II is also intended to be a role model and teacher among the team to foster growth, alignment, and collaboration within the team.

Minimum 7:10 years experience, with specific pricing experience and financial/statistical modeling and forecasting, business case development; wireless industry experience is highly preferred.
Bachelor's in Marketing or business is required. Technical education highly desired and MBA or graduate level degree in a related field is preferred.
Strong analytical and project planning skills are required.
Significant experience leading cross:functional development teams and large:scale initiatives; ability to lead cross:functional teams while handling multiple projects simultaneously is required.
